Military Service is such a Drag

Thanks to a friend sending me this link, my barf bucket overflowith ...

Granted an exception to wear a man’s uniform, Senior Airman Logan Ireland and his fiancĂ© — another trans service member — were President Obama’s guests on Tuesday. Military policy, however, continues to ban out trans service.

They look like a Margaret Cho drag queen and an acne-scarred Jim Carey stunt double. I had to find another article to explain the bits and pieces of what we are looking at, and this one included a vid ... e ... barrrrrffffffff ... o. You'll have to head over there if you want to toss your lunch.

Logan Ireland, who recently completed a deployment serving as male, the gender he knows himself to be. Remarkably, after telling his leaders and some peers that his sex was assigned female at birth, he received their support—despite military policy that prevents transgender people from serving openly. Meanwhile, his fiancĂ©e, Laila Villanueva, who was assigned male at birth, has a similar scenario, but works without the support of her command.

Logan Ireland reveals her secret for becoming her true male self.

Laila Villanueva identifies the root of all his troubles.

Assigned male? Assigned female? Assigned? Like extra credit homework? What a strange way to communicate one's gender. Assigned at birth. Assigned by whom? Who could have made such an egregious mistake that it is up to the Mulatto Messiah and his prancing war chiefs to set it right?

    1. Queer Admiral Jenner - Ha! That's just great. He can order copies of his Vanity Fair shoot to be dropped over ISIS controlled territory to weaken enemy morale.

Here's a good article on Kyle, for those interested: http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2013/06/03/in-the-crosshairs
