Show clownism the jester

What causes fear of clowns?

1) Bigoted stereotypes about clowns and biased media depictions of clowns.
2) Bat-shit crazy people who dress up as clowns and do terrible things.

In 21st century Western Civilization, the correct answer is always the one that sounds most like what some whinging leftist cunt would spew during a sociology lecture at your local community college - so #1 is the obvious answer. And this clown agrees, quoting:

"Hollywood makes money sensationalizing the norm," said Glenn Kohlberger, president of Clowns of America International, [...] "They can take any situation no matter how good or pure and turn it into a nightmare."

"We do not support in any way, shape or form any medium that sensationalizes or adds to coulrophobia or 'clown fear,' " Kohlberger added. "“Clowns to killers... I choose not to play into any of it. The more attention we give it just gives it more fuel.”

Well, good job not bringing attention to it - a Google search for "Glenn Kohlberger, president of Clowns of America International", brings up these pics in the top 10 images:

  1. Well at least it's not blackface.

    1. Hmm...a blackface clown. Sounds like every nigger entertainer ever.
